L'Oreal USA hosted a ribbon cutting this past Thursday, April 20, 2017 to officially unveil its new solar array, which will feature more than 3,500 solar panels. L'Oreal USA's North Little Rock plant will house the third largest commercial solar array and the fourth largest solar project in Arkansas.

The Solar array helps to achieve the emissions reductions goals set in the company's global sustainability strategy "Sharing Beauty with All."

L'Oréal USA's 3,528 solar panel installation provides 1.2 MW of renewable energy and will reduce carbon emissions by 556 metric tons per year. The 450,000 sq. ft. factory has operated in the state for over four decades, and is home to cosmetics production for brands including Maybelline, L'Oréal Paris, Essie and Lancôme. L'Oréal USA is the fourth largest industrial employer in the Greater Little Rock area and this plant has nearly 500 employees.
