LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas Sounds Music Series, a project of the Central Arkansas Library System's (CALS) Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, is offering films and concerts in a variety of genres throughout the summer. The summer lineup starts June 16 with a screening of Arkansas based musical film 45RPM. All events are open to the public, but ticket prices vary and can be purchased at www.arkansassounds.org. The 2017 Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase winners, Dazz & Brie and the Emotionalz, will perform songs from their debut album, Can't Afford California.
Sounds in the Stacks A series of piano concerts at CALS branches, Sounds in the Stacks highlights local keyboardists with different musical backgrounds. They showcase their talent and skill using a 7-foot, 6-inch Kawai GX-7 concert grand piano provided by Piano Kraft--the exclusive piano provider for Arkansas Sounds. All Sounds in the Stacks concerts are free.
