The owners of Silo Adult Video Arcade appeared in Pulaski County District Court for trial on August 3, 2011.

District Judge Wayne Gruber found the owners guilty of “Prohibited Location of an Adult Oriented Business.”  A $1,000 fine (plus court costs) was levied with a one year suspended sentence.

The Judge ordered the business to close by September 16, 2011 at 5 p.m.  The owners have time to appeal the decision during this time span.

The business, however, can continue to be found in violation of the same law during the time span granted by Judge Gruber.

The Sheriff’s Office will continue to enforce the state statute as long as the business is in operation. As part of that enforcement, officers made a visit to the Silo Adult business at 416 Pratt Road on August 3, 2011.

Upon arrival, despite previous citations, they found the business open and customers present.  Baleka Stubbs, who was operating the store, was arrested on site and found to be in possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

The court proceedings for the adult store initiated from incidents earlier this year, when officers
from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office made a visit to the Silo Adult Video Arcade to investigate complaints that the business was operating an adult business too close to private residences. A mix of used condoms and adult sex toys were found throughout the premises at that time.
