LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) Roosevelt Thompson Library, 38 Rahling Circle, will close for remodeling and expansion on Thursday, November 10. A re-opening date will be announced at a later date. The expansion will allow the Thompson Library to add a teaching kitchen, three new study rooms, and a large meeting room that will be accessible after normal library hours. Funds for the $1.8 million expansion were approved by Little Rock voters through a bond refinance in July of 2015.

The Little Rockers Kids Marathon is a fun running and walking program that children participate in through their schools, sports groups, church or at home with a parent. Participants run or walk 25.2 miles over a period of time, logging their progress. Then on race day, children will complete their last mile on the official Little Rock Marathon course. Members of Canvas Perform, Opening Act for Rick Springfield

Rick Springfield played to a full crowd October 18 from the Wendy's Stage at the Arkansas State Fair. The show was free with a paid admission, but reserved seats and VIP passes were also available. Opening act for Rick Springfield was the band "Canvas" featuring Chuck, "The Promo Guy's Band from The Point 94.1 FM. DJs from both 94.1 and 94.9 were on hand to introduce Rick Springfield following the opening band.
