Arkansas legalizes medical marijuana PDF Print E-mail

Voters in Arkansas have approved an amendment that allows patients with a doctor's prescription to buy marijuana from specified state locations. Marijuana will be allowed for a variety of medical conditions, a total of 18 that span from PTSD to Cancer. While more than half the states have now approved some form of marijuana, a federal mandate is still needed. While Arkansas patients can use marijuana in Arkansas, it would be illegal in other states where it is not allowed.

The holiday season is upon us, and as such we normally see a spike in property crimes. Lately there have been numerous vehicle break-ins in the Marion Anderson area. Sheriff McCormick would like to assure the community that the Criminal Investigation Division is making this a top priority and is working hard to identify possible suspects.
