Held annually on the first Wednesday in June, Global Running Day is a grass roots, collaborative effort of leaders in the running industry to promote running and walking as a healthy, easy and accessible form of exercise. Participation is easy. Pledge to take part in some type of running or walking activity on June 7, 2017. It can be a lap around the block by yourself, a long run or walk with friends or a game of tag with your children.

The Rocky Mountain Missionary Baptist Church is committed to spreading love in the community and stopping the violence, and will host their Annual Vacation Bible School June 6-9, 2017 followed up with a (FW4STV) Faith Walk 4 Stopping the Violence at Cloverdale Middle School, 6300 Hinson Road, Little Rock, AR. 72209 on June 10, 2017 from 8a.m. to 9:30a.m. and will close with a prayer brunch fellowship at the (RMMBC) Fellowship from 10a.m. to 12 noon. Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Investigators arrested two people in connection with an investigation concerning Internet Stalking of a Child on 6-2- 17. Information was received from Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds and Stone County Sheriff's Office investigators, that a 15 year old female was contacted via Facebook in reference to meeting for sex. Stone County Sheriff's Office personnel contacted Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Investigators and provided the initial information concerning the alleged offense. Working in conjunction with Jacksonville Police Department Investigators, Pulaski County Sheriff's Office Investigators intervened and were able to continue contact with the couple who eventually came to a Jacksonville motel to meet the female, where they were subsequently arrested. The Great Flood, a film-music collaboration by Bill Morrison and legendary guitarist Bill Frisell, will be screened on Wed., June 7, at the CALS Ron Robinson Theater in Little Rock at noon for Free. It is based on, and inspired by, the catastrophic Mississippi River Flood of 1927 and the ensuing transformation of American society. Frisell's remarkable soundtrack reflects the northern migration of southern rural blacks prompted in part by the flood, which helped spread African American musical styles throughout the nation. The film features every known moving image of the 1927 flood. It is co-sponsored by Arkansas Sounds and the Clinton School of Public Service.
